SDONE DISTRICT II MEETING - February 8, 2007

Attendees:  Dawn Hinckley – Gettysburg; Jaci Eberhart – Eureka; Carie Kappes –

                   Eureka; Carna Atherton-Pray – Avera St. Luke’s.

Managers Meeting:  December 14, 2006 meeting minutes were read and approved. 

                                 Facility reports were shared.  Discussion of Patient Education

                                  resources and past program topics were discussed.

Overview of Program:   Pat Cavanaugh of Avera St. Luke’s presented 2007 Patient

                                      Safety Goals Critical Access Hospital Program and the 5 Million

                                      Lives campaign.  Handouts were given as well as resources to

                                      form facility policies to put the goals into action.

Aging Services:  Jaci Eberhart presented an article on “cross-training to build brain

                           muscle” to keep alzheimers at bay.

Old Business:  Dawn Hinckley – Chairperson called the meeting to order.  No old business. 

New Business:

Next meeting:   April 12, 2007, 10a-2p, at Avera St. Luke’s in the Nursing Service Conference Room.  Program:  Human Resources – Dealing with difficult employees.                 

PLEASE NOTE NEW DATE.  WE WILL MEET IN APRIL INSTEAD OF MAY.
